Nick Hallemeesch is an associate lawyer in the Brussels office of White & Case LLP. He advises listed and private companies on all aspects of mergers and acquisitions and corporate law, and has a particular expertise in corporate governance, shareholder activism and shareholder rights.
Prior to joining private practice in 2018, Nick worked as an assistant professor at the China University of Political Science and Law (Beijing, China), and as a doctoral researcher at KU Leuven (Leuven, Belgium). His PhD thesis on shareholders’ agreement (published by Intersentia) was award the international Pierre Coppens Prize in 2020 and the Triannual Prize of Antwerp Notaries in 2019.
Nick studied law at Harvard Law School (LL.M., 2016), KU Leuven (Ph.D., 2018 and Master of Laws, 2012), Tilburg University (Research Master of Laws, 2012) and Université de Montpellier (Erasmus Exchange, 2011).
