Faculty

Kwinten Dewaele practices law at the Brussels Bar, with a particular expertise in strategic trade law (export controls and economic sanctions). Additionally, he is the author of several books, contributions, and journal articles in commercial and corporate law.

Kwinten joined the Faculty of the LL.M. in International Business Law in 2024 as a lecturer at the ULB, teaching International Company Law. He is also a Research Fellow at KU Leuven and previously taught courses on Economic Law at KU Leuven (Brussels Campus).

Kwinten studied law at KU Leuven (’19) and Harvard Law School (’23) and holds a Ph.D. in law (’25). He was a Fellow of the Flemish Research Foundation (’20-’24) and a Fulbright Scholar (’22-23).
