Arnaud Nuyts is Professor at the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB) where he lectures on private international law and international contracts and the international law of electronic commerce and intellectual property. He is the author of several publications and he has published more than 50 articles in Belgian and international journals. He has been commissioned by the European Commission to coordinate a study on the domestic rules of international jurisdiction in the 27 Member States of the European Union. He has recently appeared as an expert before the European Parliament on the reform of the Judgment Regulation (Brussels I). Arnaud holds a law degree and a Juris Doctor degree from the ULB as well as a master of law (LL.M.) from the University of Cambridge. He has also studied at the Universities of Columbia, New York and at Harvard. As an attorney at law he has been involved in major arbitration proceedings involving clients from civil law and common law jurisdictions.
